COLUMBIA (WACH) - A Winter Storm Warning is in effect for the Midlands until midnight Sunday night.
Snow is starting to fall in parts of the Midlands right now, including the WACH FOX studio in Downtown Columbia. Although it`s not sticking, please use caution if you have to be out on the roads. Remember, bridges and overpasses are the first to freeze. With plenty of water on the ground, I expect reports of black ice across the Midlands as temperatures hover near freezing.
Justin Kier & I are monitoring the situation closely in the SkyWACH Weather Center. We`ll be doing cut-ins on WACH FOX ever hour at the top of the hour.
