COLUMBIA (WACH) -  There are plenty of stranded passengers at airports across the east coast including at Columbia Metro.

A spokesman at Columbia Metropolitan Airport says all Delta flights to Atlanta are cancelled for Christmas Day.

"I knew about the weather in Atlanta," says William Ivey.

Ivey and his family are traveling to Arizona.  "We have a layover in Houston and I didn't think our flight would be delayed, so that's disappointing."

Delta cancelled hundreds of flights around the country due to the wintry weather in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast.

The airline will rebook passengers affected by the delays without charging a cancellation fee.  Nine flights were scheduled to fly from Columbia to Atlanta today.
