Columbia firefighters to visit children's hospital

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) -- Some Columbia firefighters are taking on the role of Santa Claus this Christmas.

The Columbia-Richland Fire Department is teaming up with Palmetto Health Children's Hospital in Columbia on Christmas Eve. Firefighters from the department are visiting children who are staying in the hospital during Christmas.

They're also setting up a fire truck outside the hospital.
