PICKENS COUNTY (WACH) -- A statewide search for two upstate toddlers has been called off after officials say it was based on a false report.

The State Law Enforcement Division cancelled an Amber Alert for the Easley children around 5:00 p.m. Wednesday.

Investigators say the toddlers are still unaccounted for, but believed to be with their mother, Keyly Wade who was reported of kidnapping the children, and their grandmother.

According to authorities, Lisa Jordan filed the false reports of kidnapping, burglary and motor vehicle theft.

Jordan is charged with four counts of filing a false report.

The investigation continues.
