COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) -- A tissue company plans to hire 200 workers at a plant set to open in Barnwell County in 2012.
South Carolina Tissue LLC said Tuesday it will spend $140 million on the plant.
The company recycles paper into bulk rolls and sells it to other companies where it is converted into tissue paper that can be used in consumer products, such as toilet paper, napkins and paper towels.
The company will start construction early next year and plans to start hiring workers toward the end of the year.
