COLUMBIA (WACH) -- Students at Columbia International University get a special lesson Thursday morning.

Gracie and Peter Rosenberger are Alumni of CIU, shared a special message from their new book, "Standing With Hope."

Gracie Rosenberger is an amputee and lost her legs after a horrifying car accident.

Several operations later, she and her husband travel the world to tell their story of hope and faith.

Students say it really puts things into perspective.

"I have no reason to complain about, when she experiences pain 24/7, and the fact that I'm in pain because of a hard workout yesterday, I have no reason to complain about that," explains CIU student Nicole Jones.

Gracie and Peter have created a ministry training people to make and use their own prosthetic limbs.
