COLUMBIA (WACH) -- Twenty-six-hundred pounds of marijuana are off Midlands streets after some quick thinking by a K9 unit deputy.

Sheriff Leon Lott says Wednesday night Deputy Thomas Lamb spotted a cargo trailer traveling northbound on I-77 near Decker Blvd. swerving back and forth.

Deputy Lamb performed a traffic stop and that's when he found a rolled up marijuana joint in plain sight.

After further investigation, 2,608 pounds of marijuana valued at $2,608,000 was found in the trailer.

Heriberto and Hector Solorio, two brothers, have been arrested and charged with trafficking marijuana, driving without a valid drivers license and improper change of lanes.
