MANNING (WACH) -- After losing South Carolina's U.S. Senate race against Republican Jim DeMint last week during the Midterm Election, Alvin Greene says he's considering a presidential bid.

Greene spoke to WACH Fox News Tuesday and confirmed he may run for President in 2012 after Politico.com broke the news earlier in the day.

"Maybe," Greene said.  He then asked us how much the filing fee is to launch a campaign.

The South Carolina Democratic Party has yet to set its filing fee for 2012.  In 2008 it was $2,500.

Greene was surprised that the fee was less than that to file for the Senate race this year, which was $10,000.

Greene's campaign platform would echo the tone of his Senate bid; "to get rid of the un-ending recession."

When asked which ticket he'd run on, Greene replied, "either Democratic, Republican or Independent."

WACH Fox News contacted the state Democratic Party office and they have no comment at the moment.
