Former Columbia parks planning director arraigned

COLUMBIA (WACH) -- The former Columbia Parks and Recreation employee accused of using his job to solicit and receive illegal payments from contractors appeared in court for arraignment Wednesday.

According to criminal records, Damon McDuffie has a long history of arrests and convictions including a felony conviction for bad checks.

Those records show McDuffie was arrested at least ten times between 1994 and 2002.
