COLUMBIA, SC (WACH) -- Local elected officials are hosting a "Get Out the Vote" rally and fish fry, Sunday, October 31 from 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. The event will be held at the Drew Wellness Center in downtown Columbia.
Officials say the rally will encourage residents to get out and vote on Tuesday, November 2.
Among those who plan to attend the event are Congressman James E. Clyburn, Mayor Benjamin, Richland County Councilman-Elect Seth Rose, Representative Joe McEachern, Representative Todd Rutherford, Richland One Commissioner Jamie Devine, Former Governor Jim Hodges and Sheriff Leon Lott.
City Councilwoman Tameika Isaac Devine, City Councilman Sam Davis and Councilman Brian Newman also plan to attend the rally.
