COLUMBIA (WACH) -- There's good news when it comes to the pain at the pump here in the Midlands.
According to ColumbiaGasPrices.com, prices have fallen 1.9 cents per gallon to average $2.59 cents.
That's still 11.2 cents higher than last year at this time and 10.7 cents higher than one month ago.
But the local average is still well below the national average of $2.81 per gallon.
South Carolina ranks second for lowest prices in the nation, just three cents higher than Missouri.
Greenville, Columbia and Spartanburg still remain in the top ten lowest prices by city.
