COLUMBIA (WACH) -- Columbia wastewater officials are warning residents of a sewage overflow near the 1000 block of Trotter Road in eastern Richland County.

A sanitary sewer line was found backed up with grease and roots.

The blockage caused the line to overflow into a retention pond in the Chandler Hall Subdivision.

Officials say any questions should be directed to the city's Wastewater maintenance Division at 545-3910.
