COLUMBIA (WACH) -- There's just over two months for consumers to take advantage of federal tax credits and other incentives for going green.

SCE&G officials want to remind customers that they have until the end of the year to make the upgrades to more energy efficient appliances and other home improvements.

The utility company also has an incentive program of their own.  Customers may qualify for bill credits of up to $300 for their efforts.

Improvements must be made from January 1, 2010 through the end of the year in the home owner's primary residence.  They include items such as appliances, windows, doors, roofs, heating and cooling systems and water heaters.
