BOWMAN, S.C. (AP) -- South Carolina's state police and officers from around the Southeast are showing off their bomb defusing skills at a demonstration in Bowman.
The State Law Enforcement Division is hosting its second annual South Carolina Bomb Squad Olympiad starting Tuesday.
The three-day event includes a 100-yard bomb suit relay race, a bomb robot obstacle course and a test of experts' abilities to extract bombs from vehicles.
The events also serve as a training exercise for attendees to hone their skills in preparation for actual emergency calls.
