Investigators still searching for suspect in theft of wheelchairs

BLYTHEWOOD (WACH) -- Richland County officials have released surveillance images of a suspect vehicle involved in a Blythewood trailer theft.  The trailer had six to eight special sports wheelchairs along with other equipment inside.

The gear is valued at around $15,000 and was used by wheelchair-bound basketball players.

Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott says the white trailer displaying a Limitless Sports and Richland County Recreation Commission logo was taken from the Blythewood Park parking lot on Boney Road Friday.

The surveillance shows a newer model dually pick-up truck with running boards and lights on top of the cab leaving the lot with the 6'x12" trailer attached.
