Fans wished their favorite players and USC Head Football Coach Steve Spurrier good luck as the team boarded the busses.

Many said they hope the loss of former Gamecock stand-out Kenny McKinley will help motivate the team this weekend.

"Definitely, definitely, they'll definitely have more focus about it, about losing a good player like they had. I'm sure they will," said Gamecock Fan Nicole Salani.

"Absolutely ya, this will be a victory in honor of Kenny McKinley," said Gamecock Fan Rickie Plyler.

"Knowing how much Kenny McKinley loved playing for the Gamecocks and how hard he played maybe they can just feed off of that and play with a little extra emotion and just give 110-percent come out with a win," said Gamecock Fan Jeff Mack.

Authorities believe McKinley killed himself on Monday with a gunshot wound to the head.

Spurrier said the Gamecocks will wear a helmet decal with McKinley's No. 11 when they play Auburn.

Game time Saturday is set for 7:47 p.m. ET.
