Reeves files lawsuit for being left out of debate

COLUMBIA (WACH) -- Third party gubernatorial candidate Morgan Reeves is suing over being left out of an upcoming debate.

Reeves announced Monday a $40 billion lawsuit against Francis Marion University, Coastal Carolina, The Morning News and WBTW.

In a statement, Reeves's campaign says he has "once again been left without a voice as the state closes in on the November elections," referring to a debate scheduled on October 26.

Reeves calls upon the organizers to invite him to the debate which includes Republican Nikki Haley and Democrat Vincent Sheheen.
