ROCK HILL, S.C. (AP) -- A former Winthrop University employee has been arrested and accused of misusing the South Carolina's school's credit card for more than $200,000.

The Herald of Rock Hill reported that George Robert Walker turned himself in to Winthrop police Wednesday and was charged with two counts of breach of trust over $5,000.

Winthrop Police Chief Frank Zebedis says each count carries a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison.

The school says it noticed increased costs in the printing services office. A police report says an audit of the print shop that Walker supervised indicated someone was defrauding the school through PayPal.

The school says Walker resigned when he was questioned.

His attorney, Harry Collins, says he thinks something will be worked out with the university.
