COLUMBIA (WACH) -- The longtime frontman for the city of Columbia is continuing his work on hydrogen research even after leaving office.
Last month, former Mayor Bob Coble registered as a lobbyist for the South Carolina Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Alliance.
In his final years as mayor, Coble was a vocal supporter of alternative fuels and the green economy.
He helped establish one of the only hydrogen fueling stations in the Southeast here in Columbia.
Coble is also a registered lobbyist for the Boeing Company and the Sisters of Charity Providence Hospital.
