RICHLAND COUNTY (WACH) -- The Richland County Sheriff's Department is asking for the public's help in their search for an armed robbery suspect.

Officials say on Monday around 9:14 a.m., a male suspect entered Palmetto Citizens Federal Credit Union at 114 Atrium Way.

The suspect, standing around 5'7" to 5'10" weighing around 170 pounds, presented a gun and demanded money.

The suspect fled the scene with the money in hand.

Surveillance photos have been released from the crime.
