Columbia (WACH) -- A parking lot on Decker Blvd, was transformed  into a benefit bash for a young Midlands boy Saturday.

The "Calling All Friends Foundation" hosted the event.  It was designed to raise funds for 4-year-old Joshua Sparks, who suffers from heart defects.

Organizers say the money raised will go towards mounting medical bills.

"There are other expenses that people don't think about when it comes to a family with sick children," said "Calling All Friends" participant Diana Henderson.  "Our goal is to help in that way."
