COLUMBIA (WACH) -- Pair up the state's best chefs with locally grown products and you get a delicious outcome.

South Carolina Farm Bureaus hosted the 4th annual Palmetto Palate Thursday.

The event featured cooking stations from restaurants across the state that use South Carolina grown products on their menus.

Organizers say the event is a tasty way to celebrate locally grown products.

"The chefs create their own menus and tell us what they want and we go out and find the farmers that can give it to them, so it's neat to see the kind of things, different things they do with it," explains Jim Griffin, Organizer of Palmetto Palate.

Proceeds from the event support the Friends of the Farm Bureau Political Action Committee.
