COLUMBIA (WACH) -- A Columbia woman is breathing a sigh of relief Monday after a month without her car.

Tiffany Rockholz came to WACH Fox News looking for answers.

Last month, Rockholz dropped off her car at D&D's Auto Repair Shop for an engine repair.

After several failed attempts to contact the mechanic, and a visit to the shop, Rockholz called us.

Our crew showed up to get answers.

The mechanic wouldn't speak to us, but he quickly called Rockholz to tell her the repairs would be ready Saturday morning.

She picked up her car Sunday and gave it a full inspection and is now back in the driver's seat.

"People want to know where they should go, what they should do, so I can't thank WACH Fox enough for helping me with this.  You know, helping me get the car back," Rockholz says.

Consumer affairs tells us if you find yourself needing an auto repair shop, you'll want to do your homework first.

You can research the company by checking with the Better Business Bureau to see the company's current standing.
