All eight candidates running for the vacant district II Columbia City Council seat gathered at St. John Baptist Church Sunday in a final pitch for voters before Tuesday's special election. One of these men or women will fill the seated vacated by former councilman E.W. Cromartie.
"I hope that once everyone takes a listen to each candidate, they'll think intelligently and pick the best candidate," says voter Racquel Casey.
Candidates fielded questions on issues ranging from whether Columbia should move to a strong-mayor form of government, to crime and gangs.
