Imagine taking your car in for repairs and you're told it will only take a few days. But nearly a month later, you find yourself without a car.
That situation was a reality for one Columbia woman. So she came to WACH Fox News, looking for answers.
"It's been a long road without a vehicle obviously," said Columbia resident Tiffany Rockholz.
That long road, lasting nearly 30 days. Last month Tiffany Rockholz dropped her car off at D&S Repair Shop for an engine repair. After repeated attempts to contact the mechanic, Tiffany called WACH Fox News to help figure out what was causing the stall in getting her car back.
Once our crew showed up, asking questions the mechanic quickly called Rockholz to tell her the repairs had been made.
"All the additional parts he had to order, and the additional problems he ran into I was not charged for," said Rockholz. "So you know, he did stick to his word."
After picking up her car Sunday, Rockholz gave it a full inspection. Checking under the hood to make sure everything was in place, and in working condition.
"Everything seems to be in order so we're ready to ride," said Rockholz.
Now that she's no longer having to tote her son's car seat from a different vehicle everyday, Rockholz says she's grateful her car concerns are over.
"People want to know where they should go," said Rockholz. "I can't Thank WACH Fox enough for helping me with this you know, helping me get the car back."
Now, we did attempt to speak with the mechanic who worked on Rockholz's car, but he did not answer the door.
