Residents in Springdale are under a boil water advisory.

The city of West Columbia reports a water line break is the cause of the warning.

The areas affected include Wilton Road, Rainbow Drive, Shampey Street, Franklin Street, Bensmin Drive, Dalewood Drive, Kirkwood Drive, Sandalwood Drive and Morningdale Drive.

Those customers are left without water.  When service is restored, officials ask that residents boil water for cooking or drinking for at least one minute until further notice.
