GREENVILLE COUNTY (WACH) -- After nearly four hours of being stuck on Rainbow Falls in Greenville County, one man was pulled to safety.
Jake Swanson admitted he made a bad call after he was rescued.
Swanson says the problem happened when he tried to climb up the 100 foot fall.
Before he even reached the top, he realized he couldn't go up any further and couldn't get back down, and then ran out of steam.
Swanson was hiking with some friends when he decided to try to climb the fall.
"As I went up further, I just, I was realizing I'm not going to be able to go any further," Swanson said. "My muscles are getting tired and it was really steep. It's not like walking up the stairs or anything. But there was a tree up there growing out of the side of the cliff in a nice spot just to rest so when I got up there, I just realized I'm stuck."
The Cedar Mountain Fire Department eventually reached him, hooked him up to a harness and lowered him back to the ground.
