Michael Roth threw a three-hit masterpiece, and South Carolina forced a do-or-die game at the College World Series with a 5-1 win over Clemson Friday night.

The Gamecocks and Tigers will play again Saturday at 7 p.m.  The winner advances to the best-of-3 national championship series.

South Carolina scored single runs in the first four innings, which was plenty of support for Roth, a sophomore left-hander from Greer, who was dominant.   He pitched nine innings, allowing only three hits and one walk.  He struck out four batters.  It was his first career complete game.

Kyle Enders homered and drove in two runs for the Gamecocks, and Jackie Bradley Jr. also drove in two runs.
