LEXINGTON COUNTY (WACH) -- Lexington County resident deputies and school resource officers spent a hot Friday afternoon removing overgrown trees and brush from a senior citizen's home.
The group of volunteers got their hands dirty to help others.
"Law enforcement is not all about taking people to jail and doing traffic stops," says Daniel Rusinyak, Irmo Resident Deputy. "It's about being plugged into the community and doing what we can to help them out."
Teens who have been charged with littering also lent a hand to learn a lesson.
