RICHLAND COUNTY (WACH) -- Richland County officials have captured a 16-year-old white male who escaped from Clarendon County officials' custody Tuesday afternoon.

Police say the teen escaped from a patrol car when he was being transported on Percival Road.

Officials established a perimeter for their manhunt between Screaming Eagle Road and Fort Jackson Boulevard.

The escapee was originally arrested this weekend and charged with assault and battery with intent to kill.
