COLUMBIA -- During any election season the question of how accurate the polls are comes up.
And most of the polls leading up to Tuesday's primaries were right on track.
So is it common the polls reflect the actual votes?
"If you look at the track record of the polls that are done properly where they try to identify those people who are going to come out and actually mirror turnout on election day, the polls actually do a very good job," explains USC Political Science Professor Bob Oldendick.
Now the latest Public Policy Poll numbers for the GOP runoff predict Haley to receive 60 percent of the vote and Barrett to get the remaining 40 percent.
