COLUMBIA (AP) -- A 53-year-old Army sergeant from South Carolina has been killed in a vehicle accident in Kuwait.

The Pentagon announced Wednesday that Sgt. Steve M. Theobald of Goose Creek died Friday from injuries sustained in a military vehicle roll-over that occurred near Kuwait City.

Military officials said Theobald was assigned to the 287th Transportation Co., located in Livingston, Ala.
