CONWAY, S.C. (AP) -- A former Coastal Carolina University football player has been convicted of four charges stemming from a 2007 home invasion on the South Carolina coast.

The Sun News of Myrtle Beach reported Friday that 22-year-old Mario Tynes was convicted after a Horry County jury deliberated more than three hours Thursday. Another man, 21-year-old Michael Lackey, was found guilty.

The two men were charged with forcing their way into an apartment near Myrtle Beach in October 2007 and stealing marijuana, cell phones and cash at gunpoint.

Two other former Coastal players face similar charges.

Tynes and Lackey are set to be sentenced Friday. Lackey fainted in the courtroom Thursday after the verdict and was examined at a local medical center.
