Apartment evacuated after powder found in Vista

COLUMBIA -- Officials are investigating a white powder substance found at an apartment complex in the Vista.

Columbia Interim Fire Chief Aubrey Jenkins says a resident at the Vista Commons, near Carolina Wings, found the package in the mail and called 911.

The building was evacuated.

The FBI and Homeland Security are working to determine the contents of the package.
