House approves bill to allow guns under car seats

COLUMBIA -- The South Carolina House approved a bill Tuesday that would allow concealed weapons permit holders to store a gun under vehicle seats.

House members approved the bill in a 104 to 0 vote.

The change would be in addition to already being able to stow a weapon in a glove compartment, closed console or trunk.

The bill has not yet been introduced to the Senate.
