COLUMBIA -- Bond has been set at $1 million for the man charged in the hit and run death of Frederic Toby Morriss.

William Craig Caughman, of West Columbia, was arrested Monday after a CrimeStoppers tip led Cayce Police to the vehicle connected to the crash that killed the USC photography professor.

Officials found Caughman's 2000 Ford Ranger hidden behind a building on his father's property with the doors removed.

Caughman has been charged with leaving the scene of an accident involving death and obstruction of justice.

Toby Morriss was hit on his motorcycle on February 21 at the intersection of Knox Abbott Drive and 9th Street.

He died a few days later.

The investigation continues and police say there may be additional arrests.
