IRMO -- From hitting the ball to hitting the books.

Columbia Blowfish members stressed the importance of reading Monday.

Some players on the baseball team were on hand at Irmo Elementary.

For one second grade teacher, the guests are the perfect teachers of a very important life lesson.

"Learning about team spirit, cooperation, and excitement of getting to come in and have heroes actually that's what we have a hero coming to be here with them and they are just so excited," says Joye Rush.

Today's featured book was Michael's Golden Rules.
