The Central Midlands Regional Transit Authority held a public meeting Saturday, May 1 to discuss upcoming changes being made to specific bus routes that will directly affect riders and the community. The changes come as a result of the Comprehensive Operational Analysis which is intended to transform the area's public transit system into an integral part of our community.
CMRTA representative Brittany McMillan says the changes are a step in the right direction. "Overall we're not geographically taking away from our service area at all. Some of the routes are reducing how often that they'll run, but overall, I think it's a really positive improvement," she stated. According to McMillian the proposed changes will take effect June 12 pending approval.
