COLUMBIA -- The mayoral election isn't the only heated race that voters decided in Tuesday's run-off vote.  They also took to the polls to pick a new District IV council representative.

Leona Plaugh will be the next to serve on Columbia's City Council.

Voters picked the former city manager over former Richland County Councilman Tony Mizzell in a close race.

Plaugh brought in over 52 percent of the voters' approval with 3,117 votes. Mizzell came in just behind with over 47 percent.

Meanwhile, Steve Benjamin will become the city's next mayor.  Read the full story here.
