GREENVILLE -- A man made a terrifying discovery while mowing his lawn in Greenville County.
Investigators are looking for clues after the man found a partial skeleton in his backyard.
They confirm the remains are human, but they will not be able to use dental records to identify the person.
The man's neighbor, Greg Tollison, says the find puts things in perspective.
"It's scary. Scary that somebody could be laying there that long right under your nose and not know it," Tollison says.
Officials believe the remains have been in the man's backyard for about a year.
