Columbia City Council voted Wednesday morning to hold the District II Election on July 13.

Candidates who would like to run for the District II seat, must file between April 12 and May 13.

Those candidates who filed for the first election will have to file again.

According to officials, the city will refund the first filing candidates filing fees.

On Monday, a federal court judge ruled to block the District II election that was scheduled to take place on April 6.
