The political satire shirts say the words "Tax Evader" with a picture of the former councilman.
COLUMBIA -- Former Councilman E.W. Cromartie may be out of office, but one local business is cashing in on his fall from local government.
Graffiti on Rosewood Drive has created shirts saying "Tax Evader" with a picture of Cromartie on it.
The disgraced politician announced his resignation earlier this month along with plans to plead guilty to tax evasion charges.
The owner of the store may be a bit biased. He claims he's had run-ins with the former councilman before.
"We're always doing political incorrect shirts," says Traeger Mechling, owner of Graffiti. "We'll make fun of you if you mess up."
And this is not the first time Graffiti has poked fun at politicians.
Mechling says the shirts he made after former Treasurer Thomas Ravanel resigned were his best seller.
