ROCK HILL (AP) -- A coroner will hold a trial to decide if a South Carolina woman committed suicide in 2001 or was killed by someone else.
The Herald of Rock Hill reports the previous coroner ruled 35-year-old Melissa Motz's death a suicide, then later changed his mind and said he couldn't determine how she died.
Current York County Coroner Sabrina Gast plans to hold an inquest this summer, where a jury of six hears testimony and determines a cause of death. Gast says she reopened the case after Motz's parents raised questions about the death.
Authorities say Motz died after being shot in a car in a parking lot.
Prosecutors say they haven't brought charges against anyone because they haven't been given enough evidence.
