COLUMBIA -- Continental Airlines is now charging for extra leg room.

The airline is the latest carrier to start selling unreserved economy seats with extra legroom.

The price for the seats depends on the length of the flight, the market, and other factors.

You'll get a minimum of seven inches of extra leg space.

Continental will start selling the unreserved coach seats on March 17.

Members of the One-Pass Elite Frequent Flier Program will not be charged.

Continental Airlines serves Columbia Metro Airport.
