The pledge was issued to all local candidates by several community organizations.

COLUMBIA -- Columbia mayoral and city council candidates have agreed to run a positive, issues oriented campaign.

The pledge was issued to all local candidates by several community organizations.

The following candidates signed and returned the Fair Campaign Practices Pledge:

  • Aaron Johnson

  • Steve Morrison

  • Leona Plaugh
  • Walter Powell
  • Grant Robertson
  • Mary Baskin Waters

The League of Women Voters, Council on Neighborhoods, Columbia Opportunity Resource, Greater Community Relations Council, Greater Columbia Chamber of Commerce and the Midlands Business Leadership Group all gave candidates two weeks to sign the pledge.
