CONWAY -- Horry County Police charged a Conway man in connection with a shooting that occurred Friday morning.

Police say Levi Woodward, 60, shot his granddaughter several times. Her injuries were not life threatening.

Police were called to the home the two share on Rodney Road around 10:15 this morning. The victim was found in the street with several gunshot wounds. Police spokesman Robert Kegler says their investigation revealed that the two had a fight that led to the shooting.

Woodward is in custody at the J. Rueben Long Detention Center charged with Assault and Battery With Intent to Kill.
