BALLENTINE (AP) -- Investigators say a fire that destroyed a large vacant mansion on Lake Murray was intentionally set.

Investigators told multiple media outlets the home near Ballentine had no running electricity or gas when it caught fire Sunday morning.

The 15,000-square foot home, called "Brantley Manor," was built more than two decades ago and included a swimming pool built in Europe and windows from an English church.

But the home had been abandoned in recent years and most of the expensive items had been removed as the new owners were demolishing it.

Richland County deputies say they are investigating the fire.
