ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) -- A 61-year-old developer charged with fatally shooting his wife inside their mansion has reached an agreement with law enforcement over DNA-related evidence in his case.

Attorneys for Bob Ward wanted records from the Orange County Sheriff's Office that focus on the collection, analysis and evaluation of DNA evidence in the case. The agreement allows for defense attorneys to submit a public records request to view the evidence.

Ward is charged with second-degree murder in the death of his wife, Diane Ward. Investigators have accused Ward of fatally shooting the 55-year-old woman in the face. He has said the shooting was an accident.
