FAIRFIELD COUNTY-- A 3-year-old child is dead after a crash in Fairfield County Sunday night. That's according to Coroner James "Barkley" Ramsey.

Highway Patrol says that just after 10:30 PM Sunday night Frank Brown's SUV went off of Cook Road hitting a mailbox and a tree before catching fire.

Brown was taken to the Augusta Burn Center.

His son, 3-year-old  Frank Brown Junior was thrown from the vehicle and died.

A 2-year-old was also thrown from the car, but is in stable condition at Palmetto Richland.

Highway Patrol is still investigating the crash.
