SAVANNAH (AP) -- The Army says a soldier jailed in Georgia on charges that he made deadly threats in a hip-hop recording is being moved to Kuwait to face a court-martial.
A Fort Stewart spokesman said Wednesday that Spc. Marc A. Hall of Coward, S.C., will be flown to Kuwait, where he will remain confined until he stands trial. The Army says Hall is being transferred because most witnesses in the case are soldiers who have since deployed to Iraq.
Hall has been jailed in southeast Georgia since December. The Army says Hall threatened to go on a shooting spree in a hip-hop song he recorded to vent his anger over being kept in the military by the unpopular "stop-loss" program.
Hall's military attorney did not immediately return a call seeking comment.
